Mother and Son to Marry (Zimbabwe)

Marriage

The headline alone is enough to leave you fearing the worst, thinking this cant be possible? Unfortunately it is. A Mother and Son from Zimbabwe in a Place called Masvingo are not only getting married but Betty Mbereko the mother to Farai Mbereko is 6 months pregnant. In a fair society it’s safe to say that this by all means “Abnormal” and ludacris. Mbereko (40), was widowed 12 years ago and has been cohabiting (living together in an Intimate relationship) with her first child, Farai Mbereko (23).

She confirms that she is six months pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late husband’s young brothers, whom she says have shown desire and interest for her. Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier. She said after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it. She told the village court : “Look, I strove alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong. “Let me enjoy the products of my sweat”.

Farai said he was more than prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the Lobola (dowry) balance his father had left unpaid to his grandparents. “I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off,” he said.

“It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant. Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.”

A spokesperson of the village said “We cannot allow this to happen in our village, “mashura chaiwo aya” (This is a bad omen indeed). In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police”. He warned them to break off their marriage or leave his village. They chose the latter and have left the village for an unknown destination.

If this situation does not leave you at a loss of words or perplexed, i don’t know what will. This is testament to that fact that indeed truth is stranger than Fiction. (share this Story below on facebook or Twitter, because i doubt your friends will believe you)

The Richness of Being Black : by Vuyiswa Masango

My definition of blackness is nobleness, worthiness and togetherness.

My blackness is the cradle of my righteousness. I was made to believe that blackness was a form of weakness because of the darkness of my skin, they insist that black magic is my specialty.

They question my keenness to explore my blackness. They can witness the lushness of my black brain and still label me clueless.

They call it black wickedness while I call it black consciousness. These mindless creatures walk in a state of blindness.

Haven’t they heard that there’s a silver lining to every dark cloud? Better yet, do they know that my blackness is luminous?

My blackness is my liveliness… Darkness dominates my blackness and through the darkness I see lightness”

Whitney Houston August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012 (YOLO)

RIP

If i said i was a Huge fan of Whitney Houston i would be lying. however despite her rather turbulent path in life you can never forget her amazing voice. The first time i was introduced to her was through the movie “the BodyGuard”, a very inspiring story. the Star of the movie wasn’t Kevin Costner but the her Song “i will always Love You”.The Guinness World Records cited her as the most-awarded female act of all-time. Houston was also one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide She released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification.Houston is the only artist to chart seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits. She is the second artist behind Elton John and the only female artist to have two number-one Billboard 200 Album awards

Bonang Turns down Nude Shoot.

Playboy Mag SA Have expressed their disappointment after Bonang Matheba rejected their request for her to do a Nude Shoot. The live presenter has always been known as someone who’s willing to take some rather revealing pictures. she turned down the shoot immediately – much to the disappointment of the editor Charl du Plesis

The rather bitter editor told TimesLIVE:‘We found it strange and surprising because, if memory serves, she’s done some topless shoots before.’ (referring to her recent FHM magazine shoot)

FHM

Of her appearance in FHM not so long ago, “We find FHM to be rather disrespectful to women. We think we’re far more sophisticated in our representation of women”

Although it is very hard to accept that “having beautiful women pose naked is more sophisticated”

Anyway, Matheba’s management insisted that there simply isn’t enough “time” for their star to fulfill every proposal that comes her way. From this we can gather that she clearly isn’t on a “Moral High Ground” as we would have hoped, which is very disappointing keeping in mind how many young girls look up her as their “Role Model”. According to her agency, if Bonang had time allot of gentlemen would salivating at the thought of the next Playboy issue

We’ll believe the statement from her Management the day pigs start Flying. Chances areBonang rejected their proposal because it’s probably “That time of the Month”

The Boyfriend behind Adele’s Heartbreak revealed: Slinky Winfield

Adele's Ex

After Adele went to the Grammys with a Broom and walked out with Clean sweep of 6 Grammys there has been
Questions about who inspired the HeartBreak behind “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You”

I’m Glad to announce that Gentlemen has Been Found.
He’s a British musician/actor who goes by the names Slinky Sunbeam and Slinky Winfield this is According to the New York Post

The Post quotes an unnamed friend of Adele’s who says: “Adele likes to keep part of her life back for herself, but it’s an open secret that Slinky was the guy who inspired 21…. He’s a seriously good-looking guy. He has a great body and likes to wear vests to show it off. And he has this crazy hair which reminds me of Jimi Hendrix — it’s really wild and untamed.”
“It’s easy to see what attracted Adele to him. He’s a really popular guy, the life and soul of the party, and he’s a musician as well. But while Adele has the knack for writing songs which the whole world can tap into, Slinky’s material is more underground and kind of art-school trendy.”
Winfield launched a personal website on Sunday, highlighting his music and upcoming TV and film work.
Adele has good reasons for keeping the identity of the person in question secret. Her first album, 19, was also inspired by a breakup, and the former boyfriend, who has never been identified, tried to sue her for royalties based on the idea that his actions inspired the songs.
As for 21’s inspiration, journalists are now looking at her past interviews for clues as to who it could be. Adele blogged on MySpace in 2008, denying any romance with Winfield: “People keep saying i am/was/ seeing slinky sunbeam! im not and never have done. whoever this “source” is, they’re talking out their nonsense. he ain’t my type!”
Adele, who has clearly found success from her romantic pain, has moved on from both exes, as she brought her new boyfriend, Simon Konecki, 36, to the Grammys.

Valentines heartbreak: Teacher, 24, starved herself to death six years after she was paralysed… so he could move on

Christina and her Boyfriend

When she woke on June 4, 2005, Christina Symanski had been looking forward to an evening spent with friends, cousins and her new boyfriend – taking advantage of her aunt’s empty house.

But the 24-year-old from Linden, New Jersey had not foreseen what she later regarded as a lapse in judgement. In the early hours of the morning, she dove into a shallow pool, leaving her paralysed.

Six years and scores of blog posts about her ordeal later, Christina has died – starving herself so she would no longer be a burden on her family, and so that her boyfriend could finally move on.

Christina, a former teacher who blogged about her frustration at being unable to do anything herself, had hoped that she would die within two weeks of stopping eating.During a stint in a nursing home, she had met a fellow quadriplegic who stopped eating and drinking and died of an infection two weeks later.

She died in the arms of her mother, Louise Ruoff, fulfilling her earlier promise: ‘I was with you the day you came into the world and I will be with you when you leave it. As to whether this is the ultimate gift of love or Selflessness, is entirely up to you.

Ipad 3 in Testing phase, with March 7th as Likely launch date

8inch Ipad

Apple is reportedly testing a smaller, 8-inch version of its iPad. And the iPad 3 will be available with 4G LTE connectivity, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal.

If you thought we’d get through the pre-iPad 3 launch without the normal fury that builds before Apple releases a new product, you’re wrong.

Let’s take these one at a time. The first report, about the 8-inch iPad, should come as no surprise. It’s also fairly meaningless, at least for the moment. Apple tests new products all the time. Just because it does so doesn’t mean those products will find their way onto the shelf of your local Incredible Connection, soon or ever. That said, an 8-inch iPad is an excellent idea. The iPad and iPad 2 measure 9.7 inches, which is an nice screen size, but makes the device a bit cumbersome at times, especially if you’re using it for extended periods. An 8-inch tablet is, if you ask us, perfect.

Many market analysts think Apple needs to release a smaller, less expensive tablet that can compete with the likes of Samsung’s 7- and 8.9-inch Galaxy Tabs, and Amazon’s 7-inch Kindle Fire

However Apple’s iPad dominates the tablet market, with the company shifting more than 55 million units since its launch in April 2010

Two Drug Traffickers beheaded in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia on Tuesday beheaded two men convicted of drug trafficking in the ultra-conservative kingdom, the interior ministry announced.

Mohammed Abdulmalik Ajaj, a Syrian, was arrested for smuggling “207,000 banned narcotic pills,” the ministry said in a statement published on state news agency SPA.

He was beheaded in the northern provin
ce of Jawf.

Separately, the ministry said a Saudi, Hamad al-Yami, was beheaded in Jizan, in southwestern Saudi Arabia, for trafficking hashish.

The beheadings bring to eight the number of executions carried out in Saudi Arabia so far in 2012, according to an AFP tally based on official reports.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights voiced alarm in January at the almost threefold increase in executions in Saudi Arabia last year.

Amnesty International said the kingdom executed 79 people in 2011.

Saudi Arabia applies the death penalty for a wide range of offences, including rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking.

Zambia Win AFCON 2012 + Drogba’s Epic 70th min Penalty miss (VIDEO)

John Cena: “You Cant See Me”

Zambia won the African Cup of Nations today, beating pre-tournament favorite Ivory Coast 8-7 on penalties in a nerve-racking final at Stade de l’Amitie.

Stophira Sunzu scored the deciding sudden-death penalty after Gervinho missed his spot kick for Ivory Coast.

It’s Zambia’s first African title and came in the same city where nearly the entire national team was killed in a plane crash in 1993 in the country’s worst sporting disaster.

Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba had missed a 70th-minute penalty for the favorites only to send the Match to extra time and then the dreadful shootout.

After both sides made their first seven penalties, Ivory Coast’s Kolo Toure had given Zambia a first chance at victory when his effort was saved. But Kalaba Rainford sent his effort high over the crossbar to give the Ivorians hope

Gervinho Missed and Sunzu made no mistake when it was his turn, drilling his penalty to clinche the moment.

Allot of Credit needs to be given to Kennedy Mweene, Zambia’s Goal Keeper. Its Very obvious that he definitely played his Role in the Match ensuring no ball hit the net before Penalties, although he didn’t win Man of the Match he’s the reason Zambia Made to Penalties.

He raced toward the team’s fans behind the goal to celebrate a highly emotional victory for the Zambians, who had pledged to return to Libreville and win their first major trophy to honor the 25 people who died in that plane crash nearly two decades ago.

Below is the amazing Moment when chelsea Player Didier Drogba Missed the Penalty at the 70th Minute
